Emergency Generator Installation

Emergency Generator Installation

Industry: Power Generation

PROJECTS

Scope of Work

CCI was engaged by our Energy client to provide general contracting and self-perform construction services for a new backup power system. In order to maintain continuity of power operations, the plant invested in the construction of a stand-by (Blackstart) power system for the four main Westinghouse W501D combustion turbines.

The scope of work included concrete demolition, installation of new foundations, underground utilities, equipment setting of three 1250KW diesel generators, paving and fencing upgrades and installation of electrical and controls. In addition, our team supported construction services for an upcoming capital improvement project. CCI performed material procurement, excavation, and concrete placement for a new main unit backup transformer (MUT) foundation. Our team was able to respond to the call and deliver the additional work ahead schedule. Allowing other contractors to take advantage of pre-planning activities.

With our proven performance within the industrial power and energy industry, CCI offered our client the confidence and self-perform expertise to safely execute these projects. In addition, our client received a high-performance generator system with the lowest practical maintenance frequency. Giving our client the assurance that their critical assets are secure and operational during crises events.
