Scope of Work

Our Texas based Renewable Energy client selected CCI to provide civil/concrete construction services for a new Landfill Gas (LFG) processing facility. In a proactive effort to provide sustainable fuel, the local Utility constructed the processing plant to produce clean, renewable natural gas.

The projects were broken out in multiple scope packages. The first package included concrete construction. Over 30 foundations were placed for the equipment requiring over 200 tons of rebar and 2,000 yards of concrete. The project team faced several challenges that were overcome through our value engineering approach and a strong project management partnership.

The second work package included excavation for underground site utilities. Electrical duct banks were installed which fed from the switch yard to the equipment. Concrete pipe supports and trenching for underground piping was also performed. In addition, foundations were placed for new transformers, switchgears and modular buildings.

The third work package included site civil maintenance and upgrades. As the project evolved, it was established that our crew was needed for various excavation and earthwork activities. To improve uptime and schedule certainty, CCI was in contract throughout the entire project on an as needed basis. The work included two entry roads for site access, site elevation was brought up to a new elevation and trees & stumps were cleared for additional laydown areas.

Our project team worked closely with our customer and the owner on all safety, environmental and quality control requirements. Overall, the project was executed according to plan, on schedule, with zero incidents or injuries.
