Scope of Work

The Blue Water Energy Center capital projects group required a new administrative building for daily operations. Our team was awarded the building construction through a design-assist delivery approach. Our previous work history providing engineering, procurement and construction services for various process systems and buildings leveraged our ability to secure the contract.

Serving as the general contractor, our team provided the front-end design assist to take the project design from 60% to final design. With several project constraints presented, our team worked diligently to offer value engineering and cost competitive solutions. CCI’s civil/concrete division lead the project on the front-end performing all sitework, underground utilities and concrete placement. Utilizing a pre-engineering metal building system (PEMB), the building procurement and construction offered our client an optimized construction schedule and cost-effective solution. In addition to our self-perform construction, our team managed seven subcontractors performing the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, interior finishes and site restoration.

With a pre-engineered metal building system (PEMB) incorporated into the design, our team offered our client a flexible building solution with an enhanced construction timeline. The combination of reduced field installation costs, energy efficiency, environmentally friendly materials and minimal long-term maintenance provided our client an affordable building choice.
