Dry Feed Conveyor – Tower & Separator Installation
Industry: Industrial Process

PROJECTS
Scope of Work
CCI was contracted by our aggregate client to provide self-perform concrete and structural steel installation services for a new dry feed conveyor upgrade. The project was located at a sand and gravel facility in Homer, Michigan. The facility is Southwest Michigan’s top sand and gravel supplier in the area, providing a diverse range of aggregate products.
Due to facility expansion, a new process was required to achieve increased capacity output. The existing system comprises of multiple conveyors and one separator, which provides critical functions in removing undesired aggregate from the conveyor belts. With the expansion, the process needed an additional tower and separator in order to maximize productivity. CCI’s success in securing the project award was due to our extensive experience within the bulk material handling industry. Due to the high valued equipment and critical schedule, our client required a contractor with the qualified work history.
The scope of work included site preparation, installation of structural piers, installation of structural steel, placement of slab-on-grade and rigging/setting of the separator equipment. All work was performed by CCI’s self-perform civil and structural divisions, offering our client a turnkey solution. Our expertise installing and maintaining intricate bulk handling conveyor systems enabled our team to complete the work safely without disrupting plant operations.
