Industry: Specialty Materials & Aggregates

PROJECTS

Scope of Work

The Sibley Quarry landfill is a converted inactive limestone quarry that was operated since the mid-nineteenth century. The quarry was mined to more than 300 feet below ground surface in some areas. Currently, the area serves as a coal ash landfill only accepting material from the local utility.

CCI’s involvement with the quarry operations extends beyond three years, providing various construction services to support new projects and maintenance activities. The majority of the project demands have supported the continuous groundwater/stormwater pumping operations, where several modifications to the existing chimney sump drain and pump houses have been performed. CCI has provided structural ironwork and crane services including – installation of ladder extensions, removal & re-installation of the chimney drain structure, rigging & setting of VFD’s and equipment rental services.

As a proven industrial contractor, our team offered our client the confidence and self-perform expertise to safely execute the project deliverables. In addition, our client received a long-term partner for their planned and emergency industrial process needs.
