Lansing Pump Station – Pump #6 & #7 Rebuild
Industry: Water & Wastewater

PROJECTS
Scope of Work
The Lansing Ave Pump Station was undergoing significant upgrades to address capacity issues and aging infrastructure. Planned improvements included a new equalization basin, a rebuild of Pump #6 & #7 and other infrastructure work to prevent issues like overflows and basement backups.
CCI’s self-perform millwright & rigging team managed the rebuilds for Pump #6 & #7. The scope of work included disassembling the pumps & cleaning, removing the impeller rings & prepare for new rings, replacement of upper and lower mechanical seals, replacement of upper & lower bearings, replacement of all seals, and reassembly of the pumps. Keeping the pump station in operation throughout the project was challenging. A phased construction approach was presented and approved by the engineering team, where each unit was temporarily shut down during a strict timeline.
Our experience working on critical water infrastructure projects enabled our team to complete the work scope without compromising operational startup, safety, or quality standards. In addition, our client received the assurance that the project would be completed as planned and as scheduled.
