CCI Industrial Constructor’s Rigging Team Installs Multiple Heavy Components for Recycling Process Facility
BRIGHTON, MI (October 19, 2022)—CCI Industrial Constructors, a self-performing general contractor, today announced the company’s millwright & rigging installation team assisted in the efforts of getting a new trash recycling facility up and running. CCI was contacted to provide preliminary feasibility studies associated with rigging and erecting the large and heavy components. CCI offered a detailed rigging & lifting plan, which included means and methods for offloading, traveling, hoisting & final setting the components.
In order to safely install the equipment, multiple pieces of heavy machinery were required. CCI’s company owned equipment included a 40/60 rig-n-lift, 80,000 lb. rigger lift, IC-200 broderson crane and specialty rigging. In addition, a 50-ton mobilift was used to assist with the tandem pick hoisting. The particular section of the plant was the front of line which sorts various types of material to the desired size for all the sorting streams down the conveyor line.
The project team worked closely with our customer and the end user on all safety and tolerance requirements. Overall, the project was executed according to plan and on schedule.
