CCI Industrial Constructors was founded by Robert L. Garcia as a mobile welding company nearly three decades ago. In the early years, Robert performed specialized welding and repair work throughout southeast-Detroit. As an 1102 Millwright, it was typical to get hired on and laid off once work slowed down explained Robert L. Garcia, Founder and Executive Chair. “This type of volatility was challenging and I knew I needed to take a different approach to support my family. With 10 years in the trades, I learned the critical skillsets required to manage large-scale equipment installation projects and I had a vision to create a construction company that could not only provide for my family but also create long-term careers for our people.”
As a machinery moving & rigging company in Michigan, our rigging division supports critical process equipment installation for various market sectors including – aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, heavy industrial, power & energy and water & wastewater. During the first few years of operation, more than half of the company’s revenue was related to the automotive and manufacturing industry. Specifically, within the automotive tier sector working for companies such as, Pico Automation, Dominion Technologies, & Gonzalez Production System to name a few. As the Motor City expanded throughout various regions, CCI’s rigging portfolio continued to increase as well.
