PROJECTS
Scope of Work
CCI partnered with our client providing millwright and rigging services for the new High Torque Battery Electric Vehicle Test Room Program. The project was located at the Advanced Engineering Center in Southeast, Detroit and consisted of new dynamometer equipment installation.
The scope of work included the installation of sub-framing isolation assemblies, bedplates, dynamometer, conditioning systems, cooling blower, switch gears/drive cabinets and a transformer. Due to the site conditions, several restrictions affected the installation plan including ground bearing pressure constraints and tight clearances. In order to overcome the challenges, specialty rigging and equipment was required to precisely rig and set the machinery. With company-owned equipment, our team was able to accomplish the installation adhering to the strict site-specific specifications.
Well organized communication and project coordination were fundamentally instrumental in the successful completion of the project. Our ability to supply company-owned equipment and experienced leadership allowed our team to complete the scope of work ahead of schedule, allowing other trades to maximize scheduling their activities.
