Scope of Work

CCI was contracted based off of two strategic partnerships to design, fabricate and install all service rail systems and install process tooling for the new South Paint Shop DT Box 2018 Program at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. The partnership eliminated the time required for soliciting bids, evaluating and awarding the contract, in turn allowing our customer to gain more time for final closeout.

CCI served at the turnkey installation contractor providing all pre-construction services including preliminary engineering, steel fabrication and procurement. Our self-performing team installed all white steel, tool rail and hoists to service multiple pieces of equipment within the paint shop. In addition, our team installed the Encore/FANUC automation package which included the blow off, feather duster, powder coat and sealer systems.

Due to the site access constraints, the project team separated the steel fabrication and erection into 20 sequences as the project locations were either between or in existing paint systems. With extensive experience working around new and existing paint shops, our team delivered our clients with responsive solutions and quality installations which resulted in repeat business on future projects.
